NEIST’s Project Competition for students of NE

JORHAT, July 28: As a part of the programme for NEIST Golden Jubilee year celebrations, the CSIR-North East Institute of Science & Technology (Formerly Regional Research Laboratory) at Jorhat has been organizing a “Investigatory Project Competition” among the students of the states of North East India. The various themes of the competition are –
Biodiversity of your locality, Traditional knowledge in healthcare and medicine, traditional knowledge of water harvesting, Ethnic/traditional food, Land/river erosion, Traditional construction material and Superstition and its eradication.

The student can submit the report either in English or in Assamese and the maximum word limit in 2000 words. The competition will be held in two groups viz. group A & group B. The group A will comprise of the students of Class VI to X (between age of 12-16 years) and group B will comprise of the students of Class XI to degree level (between age of 17-21 years). The guidelines and the format of the project can be downloaded from www.rrljorhat.res.in. The winners of the North East level will be awarded a studentship for two months to spend and work for two months at NEIST, Jorhat in the discipline of their choice. The prizes will be awarded at a function to be held during final celebration of Golden Jubilee of NEIST.
