Event: 8th Rongtheang Festival & 2nd Karbi Anglong Beats 2010

Event Details:
East India is all set to rock to Assam’s first national-level rock competition. The 2nd Karbi Anglong Beats Contest promises to be big and music unlimited.

Featuring nine top bands from all over the country and classic rock band from Gangtok – Girish and the Chronicles. The bands will battle it out for a prize money of Rs 50,000, a recording deal and a electric guitar.

The Karbi Anglong Beats Contest is part of the Rongtheang fest – a traditional dance and music festival of more than 12 different tribes and communities residing in Karbi Anglong. KABC is being organized by Eastern Beats Music Society.

The festival is supported by the Numaligarh Refinery Limited; the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India; State Bank of India; The Northeast Today (TNT), Rolling Stone, Sound Box, Furtados, News Live, Raang, and many more.

Rongtheang fest is from November 2 to 4. KABC will be held on November 4.
