AWAIT…

Awaiting the arrival eagerly,

The promise keeps ringing In my mind,

Planning and preparing for the day

Some finalised, yet other things re-considered, re-planned & ultimately finalised,

A smile that touches the lips,

Hands always find some excuses from the busy work,

Just to reach out to the calendar and touches the date,

The curve on my lips broadens,

A happiness that tells me: ‘Am here for You…’

The next moment, As if shaken from a dream… A message saying: ‘Next time surely…’

A smile, this time accompanied by tears,

Awaiting the arrival eagerly…
