Fuschian Delight
April 15, 2011 I adorn the damsel beauty,
Nobody knows my fate
Yet I cling with fortitude
The Bohagi botora
I breathe midst the drizzle
That soaks the phalgun dust
A hovering butterfly rescues me
Like a creeper seeking your grove
I make undying love…
The enchanting vermillion glory
The familiar dhol and gogona beats
I dance
In the unheard harmony of the East
Dwelling in your warm orchards,
I remember,
The shoulder of an old friend,
That’s where I bury ,
A bouquet of new hopes,
In a land singing elegies
Of the extinct red
Yearly laid by the banks of Luit.
Someday spring will melt,
I will return
In the peaceful areca wildwoods,
A long lost boat craving
An embrace of the majestic Brahmaputra,
Like a creeper seeking your grove,
Solemn amaranthine memory
I make undying love..
