Marine Beauty of Hawaaii

HAWAII is an island and a county which is located in the U.S. state of Hawaii in the Hawaiian Islands. Hawaii is also known as the Big Islands. Its capital city is the beautiful Honolulu which is also the largest city in Hawaii.

Hawaii is very popular for marine sports, scuba diving and snorkeling due to the presence of numerous dive sites and sea. Hawaii’s marine life is breathtaking.

Whether one is an experienced scuba diver or a beginner snorkeler, Hawaii offers a whole new world to cherish and discover lots under the sea.

Some famous places of Hawaii are as follows.

 

• Kealakekua Bay.
  

It is located just 40 minutes to the south of Kailua-Kona in Kona. This bay is very famous and best for snorkeling and scuba diving. Water in this bay is very calm and clear. This bay is rich in marine life and sea fishes.

 

• Honaunau Bay (Two- steps)
  

This bay refers to a spot on the shoreline where the volcanic rock has been neatly worn away into a convenient “Two-step” entry point for snorkelers and divers. Here fishes can be seen in abundance and Hawaiin green sea turtles or Honu can be seen.

This bay is located nearby Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park.

 

• Hanauma Bay, Oahu

This bay is located on Oahu’s southeastern tip. This bay is best for snorkeling. This bay is rich in reefs and colorful fishes.

 

• Molokini, Maui
  

This is a small island located in South Maui coast. Water here offers reefs which are colorful and best for snorkeling and scuba diving. It was named a State Marine Life and Bird Conservation District because water here is very rich in marine life and beauty.

 

• Hulopee Bay, Lanai
  

It is located on Lanai’s southern coast. It was once named as America’s best beach because of the everlasting golden sands. This bay is best suited for snorkeling.

 

• Kee Beach, Kauai
  

This beach is located on North Kauai. This beach provides a protected lagoon best for snorkeling during the summer months (winter brings rough and dangerous conditions). Offshore reefs also provides a great setting for advanced scuba divers. Nearby to the east, Makua Beach also known as the Tunnels Beach provides exceptional snorkeling during the summer.

Honolulu International Airport on Oahu is Hawaii’s major airport serving as entry point for most of the Hawaii’s visitors or tourists.
